Introduction

Pepscan Therapeutics is a biotechnology company applying its CLIPS^TM protein mimicry technology for the generation of therapeutics for diseases where current technologies are not effective. The CLIPS^TM technology is a very versatile chemical tool to stabilize peptides in biologically relevant structures.

For many drug targets it is difficult to induce functional antibodies due to the absence of a good antigen. This is especially the case for membrane proteins like GPCRs and ion channels. In these cases CLIPS^TM immunogens, mimicking the biologically relevant parts of the target, have proven to yield functional antibodies.

Pepscan Therapeutics is applying its CLIPS^TM technology in proprietary products (therapeutic vaccines and monoclonals) and in partnerships aimed at generating monoclonal antibodies and stabilized therapeutic peptides.
